Visa to Seychelles

If you are a foreign national let us know what passport you hold and we will inform you whether or not you are obliged to apply for visa to Seychelles.

Passengers with a Czech passport are allowed to enter Seychelles for a month and the stay may be prolonged up to 3 months free of charge. Should you wish to spend a total of 12 months on Seychelles you may do so for a symbolic administrative fee. As for the passport itself it should be valid at least until the day of departure from Seychelles. The traveler must also have a return ticket, confirmed accommodation and enough funds to cover the entire stay.

Frequently asked questions

Yes you can combine it with any country you want. Our clients' favorite is a stop in Dubai where you can spend a few days shopping in the Dubai Mall or discover new spices in the souks of the old city. We also highly recommend combining the trip with a stop to Victoria Falls where you can visit three states in a short time - Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana. If you don't want to go deep into Botswan's hinterland like Kalahari or Okavango just head over a not-so-far Chobe Nature Reserve which is especially famous for herds of elephants and rich fauna.

Seychelles are a year-round destination where you can enjoy great weather every month. Statistics say that there is a drought on the islands from May to August but our experience says that these rules are no longer applicable due to climate change. For most of the year the weather is pleasant although during the summer season occasional intermittent brief bursts of clouds may occur and the sea is a little wilder. For diving purpoposes the ideal time is from March to May, for birdwatching May to October, for fishing October to April and sailors will appreacite basically any month of the year.

Weather

Great weather is one of the main reasons for the popularity of Seychelles as a year-round destination among lovers of exotic holidays. Pleasant weather with an average temperature of about thirty degrees celsius and a water temperature between 27-29 degrees without the threat of cyclones attracts travelers from all over the world.

The best weather conditions are in April-May and October-November, when it is mostly windless. From October to March the north-west wind prevails, from May to September the colder southeast wind blows, the most frequent precipitation occurs in January, February, April and December. The lowest humidity is from June to October and the period is also the best time for bird watching. The best conditions for diving with a visibility of up to 30 meters deep into the sea are in April, May, October and November. As a result of the monsoon season in the Indian Ocean, algae sometimes appears mainly on the eastern side of the islands.

The following chart shows the average daily air temperatures in Seychelles:

Januray February March April May June July August September October November December
Average maximum 30 31 31 32 31 29 28 29 29 30 30 30
Average minimum 25 25 25 25 26 25 24 24 25 25 25 25

Location

If you do not know whether to give preference to Mauritius or the Maldives then the Seychelles may be a good compromise thanks to their location right inbetween the two aformentioned islands. The main islands of Seychelles are Mahé, La Digue, Praslin and Silhouette. Around them there are number of smaller islands which complete the overall picture of the country, known for its beautiful granite beach scenery with rocky terrain and lush nature. The Seychelles also include the more distant Amirantes archipelago. The total area of Seychelles is 455 km2.
