Shangri-La´s Al Waha is a fulfilled wish of a family holiday, which includes water fun, adventure at sea, great food and a positive mood. Children and adults will not feel bound by the hotel environment, they will certainly spend a substantial part of the day in the gardens on over half a kilometer long lazy river, by the pools with whirlpools or on the beach. From your own yacht dock, you can go to sea to watch dolphins, whales or turtles, or there is a variety of sports available on site. In the evening, there is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the old Arab souk and try to smell, for example, the most expensive and rarest perfumes in the world, Amouage, whose home is Oman. The Arab-style town grew up on 124 acres in 2006 amidst a dramatic rocky landscape, today it has three hotels with a total of 680 rooms, 19 restaurants, lounges and bars, a spa, a library and three private beaches. The rooms of all three hotels: Al Waha (Economy), Al Bandar (Business) and Al Husn (First Class) are equipped with graduated luxury and the facilities of all three hotels can be used equally by the beach except the beach of Al Husn, which is only for adults. Al Waha is the cheapest option and forms a separate part with its own pool and restaurants, with the rest of the area is connected by a lazy river, gardens and beach. Guests receive a welcome drink and fruit platter on arrival, free in-room internet access and daily newspaper delivery. Water, tea, coffee are replenished free of charge daily, and guests can pick up a box of water and ice on the way to the beach. There is free wi-fi in the whole area. The suite has a Nespresso machine, flowers and a minibar are replenished daily, and laundry services are also available. A pleasant benefit is free hotel transport to the historic center of Muscat and to one of the shopping centers.

This room type does not differ from the Superior Pool Room in its equipment, but allows a family of four to stay on fixed beds in two equally large bedrooms with two bathrooms and a balcony overlooking the pools and the garden. Wired and internet access is provided free of charge, and this room type is additionally equipped with a DVD player and a PlayStation. Free tea, coffee and water are provided in the room. The room can accommodate a maximum of four adults or two adults and three children up to 11.99 years old.

The Samba’s main restaurant specializes in Latin American cuisine, and the Surf Café is loved by children, as it serves dishes they love. On the beach you can taste seafood, visit the Italian (with live entertainment), Arabic or Mexican restaurant at the Al Bandar Hotel or order a luxurious Moroccan or purely Omani dinner at the Al Husn Hotel. The stay can be ordered with breakfast (buffet), half board (lunch or dinner served buffet style in the main restaurant), or with full board. As part of the half-board or full-board service, guests can take advantage of a la carte restaurants outside the main buffet restaurants Samba (Al Waha hotel) and Al Tanoor (Al Bandar hotel). A maximum of two children are provided with half board or full board free of charge during their stay and one family.
