The Standard rooms have no balconies and views. Although some of them have a large balcony the view is blocked by a high wall. The Marriott has three restaurants with Italian and international cuisine, six bars including a beach bar and a poolside bar. Half board is served as a buffet breakfast and dinner.
The Marriott Dead Sea Hotel is a pleasant half-hour drive from Amman Airport. It is exciting to see the picturesque landscape slope below the sea level as you travel. On the Jordanian side of the Dead Sea it then occupies a position at the beginning of the beach zone, where the sea is relatively shallow. Nearby there are the Christian pilgrimage sites of Madaba, Mount Nebo, and Bethany, the biblical site of all Christians' favorite baptism in the Jordan River. The hotel provides transportation to and from Amman 3 times a day for a fee.
